Sounds and Letters
The stories in this collection are designed to inspire children to develop a love for books and reading. Before long, they’ll be reading on their own! Written with young Belizean children in mind, these books aim to make learning enjoyable. Each book is accompanied by a workbook, created to provide young children with the practice they need to strengthen their literacy skills, with many activities referencing the stories and their vibrant illustrations.
Living Together
Living Together: A Belizean Social Studies Series for Primary Schools is a curriculum-based programme that provides teachers and students with textbooks, workbooks, and teacher’s guides. Written by experienced Social Studies experts, the series emphasises the development of self-esteem, empathy, and respect for oneself and others. The books feature vivid images by Belizean artists and photographers.
The Explorer Series
The Explorer series offers a comprehensive look at Belize through three key books: A History of Belize, The Environment of Belize, and A Geography of Belize. These works provide an in-depth exploration of the country’s history, from ancient Maya civilisation to its modern-day development, its diverse ecosystems and conservation efforts, and its physical geography, including landscapes, climate, and regions. Together, the series serves as an essential educational resource, offering valuable insights into Belize’s cultural, environmental, and geographical significance.
Atlas of Belize
The Atlas of Belize and My First Atlas of Belize are a series of geographical books that introduce readers to the country’s landscapes and landmarks. The Atlas of Belize provides detailed maps and information on Belize’s topography, climate, and political boundaries, catering to a general audience, while My First Atlas of Belize simplifies these concepts with colourful maps and visuals for younger readers, offering an engaging and accessible introduction to the country's geography.
